Arizona in a Nut Shell

In Current Events, Election Politics on September 3, 2010 at 01:24

One reason Arizona is in such a poor state, IS such a poor state, is people like Jan Brewer who sell the state to the highest bidder and promotes ignorance and fear of immigrants and crime to do it.

Among other wonderful things Governor Jan Brewer has said about Arizona, she said that have been severed heads found in the desert on this side of the border. This was due to Mexican illegals, of course.  It was a complete lie, and she is now being held to task over the story.

<object width=”640″ height=”385″><param value=”http://www.youtube.com/v/AL5KQ4Ao0ro&color1=0xb1b1b1&color2=0xd0d0d0&hl=en_US&feature=player_embedded&fs=1″></param><param name=”allowFullScreen” value=”true”></param><param value=”always”></param></object>

Why she won’t just say that she was misinformed and blame the liberal media? Here are some possible reasons:

1. She is ashamed at being caught out in the lie. Nah, she’s a Republican for Christ’s sake.

2. She’s dazed and confused by the bright lights now glaring at her from her performance in the debate, her paranoid comment about the “severed heads” (among others) and running for the state’s highest office for the first time.

That’s a definite possibility. Remember, she was not elected to office. She came into office when Janet Napolitano when to work for President Obama in Washington.

3. Governor Brewer just assumed there has to be severed heads in the desert because she believes in all the fear about immigrants that she propagates.

4. Did I say she was a Republican?

I have been dismissing the Democratic candidate for Governor, Terry Goddard, but he really came out looking qualified and competent, especially next to Brewer. Was this Brewer’s Nixon debate moment, the moment many said that Nixon lost the election to Kennedy because Nixon was sweaty and unattractive on television? I doubt it, but one can dream.

Watch the full debate here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4mYgaCkpAww

Arizona is too packed full of Republicans who fear the imagined threat of immigration more than they fear the real prospects of losing their jobs or homes. And there are enough economically stable white folks who actively vote and don’t have to fear losing their homes or jobs because they are retired and have theirs. However, they do fear the scary immigrants! What if these honorable white folks went to the Paradise Valley Mall and saw scary Latinos that WEREN’T part of the cleaning staff and they were there to shop! That would ruin their white America for them.

Prediction: Brewer squeaks it out and the economy goes further in the tank.

Brewer’s Connections to the Prison Industry

If you didn’t hear, Brewer’s campaign is receiving money from the Corrections Corporation of America (CCA). The Corrections Corporation of America (CCA) runs six prisons in Arizona, three of which detain illegals for the U.S. Immigration Department. (link)

This is not surprising since the CCA is going to make loads of money if SB 1070 continues to be law with the increased number of brown people and immigrants, legal or illegal being detained.

So there you have it. The woman who signed SB 1070 helped out a friend who in turn supports her campaign. She is running a state government in a state with over 30% Latinos. If only Latinos, Liberals, Lycanthropes and Leprechauns would vote in high numbers, she would be out of office faster than you can say, “Pinche Cabron!”

Action Item:

Write Jan Brewer and tell her what you think of SB 1070 and tell her you want more debates! (She is refusing to have any more or talk to the local media.) (Link) That’s here right, and the fearful close minded Arizonans won’t think anything of it.

Arizona, give yourself a big hug. You need one.

Tex Shelters

  1. That video rocked! I’m pimping this one far and wide. Thanks Tex.

  2. the reason brewer didn’t recant the “heads in the desert” is that she’s covering for the Predators who are hunting the narcoterrorists. they’ll pick up the heads before they go back to their home planet.

  3. joe – some of the html on this post (right before & after the videos) is printing rather than rendering

    • Wetbaloney,

I am not sure what you mean. Do you mean the HTML starts to print when you open it?

Or are you talking about the artistic html bleeding from the sides of the videos? Sometimes that happens, sometimes it doesn’t. I am not sure why?

      Don’t you love OUR governor?

  4. Hi Tex!
Nobody is going to like what I have to say, so I’ll just keep quiet:)

I will say That Ive always felt that Terry Goddard was a good guy:)

    • Lisa,

Well, just tell them to bug off if they don’t like what you have to say. What was it?

Terry Goddard said a couple of right-wing fear mongering things about immigration and the border, and he’s not great on education, but compared to the Prison Break Sellout Queen, he’s peaches.

  5. Being stuck living between Arizona, Texas, and Colorado where hate and strangeness seem to compound by the day, I’m wondering if there’s some innoculation we should be dispensing before these viruses spread here…

I’ve noticed more and more of my neighbors are sporting “I Choose Love” bumper stickers lately…

  6. Hi Little Sun!
My little love bird “Love” is going CRAZY hearing that song!
    No kidding:)
